On 23 July 2010, the annex to the building of the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam was opened officially. The new crescent–shaped building made of glass and sandstone with a floor space of almost 4,000 m² accommodates exam rooms and labs, the HPI research school, as well as rooms for new special fields.
|
In the entrance hall of the Ozeaneum in Stralsund, a glass lift was taken into operation in July 2010.
The lift featuring a carrying capacity of 1,350 kg and a speed of 1 m per second commutes from the ground floor to the exhibitions of the seas. The objective was to transport wheelchair users and parents with pram directly and conveniently to the aquariums.
